is this a bug in the game? He is a level 9 Necromancer imported from BG1.

I think you selected the wrong script ...
You can assign -scripts- to characters, this controls the way they react somewhat, you have aggresive, neutral and defensive scripts.. not sure, since i never use them.
Anywayz, there's also a thiefing-script, which makes your thief try to hide in shadows as often as possible ... kinda handy when you're a thief, but not so very when you're a mage [img]smile.gif[/img]

Just click on the head-icon, in-game . and select
" customize character ", its the same menu where you can select a
(N)PC's character info and such ...

Lanthir, are you saying his mage got a Multiple Personality syndrom from the staff of Magi and now thinks he's a thief, because he can be invisible ? :D
My mage, wielding the SotM doesnt really try to hide in shadows all the time, so i dont think that's the problem ... hmmm, he does make weird squiky sounds sometimes, a little to much time being polymorhped into a squirrel i guess ...
