I've had Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven' stuck in my head for the past 17 hours. It was the last song I played before I left for Uni this morning.
It was ringin' in my head at morning tea. It was rockin' my world at lunch. Still there at dinner. Even there through Kung Fu training. Now it's nearly midnight and it's still going. I'm not exactly complaining seeing as it is the greatest musical masterpiece ever created in human history n' all. But I'm curious as to whether any of you have ever had a song stuck in your head ALL day. Seriously, I aint sh*ttin' ya, I'm just glad it wasn't some boy-band pop bullshit or I would have gone insane. So, what tunes get stuck inside your head and proceed to kick your heads ass? |
There's a book by that title as well, you know.

Het smurfenlied. AAAAAAAAAARGH, why did you have to bring this up ? :D

Here is one I have had for few days...
Wish You Were Here So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skys from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade Your heros for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here. Stairway to Heaven may be good but doesn't come close to that... |
EEEWWWW!! If I had stairway to heaven stuck in my head I would dig it out with a knitting needle. Music thats older than me just doesnt do it for me.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.
Great song. One of my faves as well. Fred Durst and Johnny Reznik should NOT have covered it. |
Pink Floyd... so I guess Roger Water wrote it

AH, so from one of the veterans eh? I can't say as I've seen any real high-calibre lyrics from any of the modern pop-rock bands these days.
I've never really listened to Pink Floyd all that much, I've been playing more of the Black Sabbath/Led Zeppelin tunes lately. I should give the Floyd a try. |
