..when you hear a good song from the radio(or a great song from a music channel) and you just want to download it or something but you dont know it`s name or the bands name. Ive had that lotsa times.. my most recent one was when i heard a great estonian song from the radio and for about 3 weeks, i wanted it but couldnt d/l it. but TODAY, my sister said to me the singer`s(or vocalists, if you prefer that) name. then i got my song from the Internet and was soo happy . Though nobody among you probably know nothing about this song, the artist is Tanel Padar and the songs name is Unistus(Which is estonian for 'Dream').
Ive had this sorta thing with quite a few songs but the only one that comes into my mind is The Union Underground - Turn Me On, Mr. Deadman(No, the song isnt as kinky as it sounds :D ).

here's what I did last time: ;)

1) put a sample of song text into google "exact phrase". type "lyrics" into another box and search. this will net you the title

2) Kazaa ;)

Kazaa Lite is a great alternative to Kazaa as it doesn't install spyware on your machine.

There is a service you can subscribe to on your mobile phone. If you hear a song that you like but you don't know the name of you just hold your phone up for 3 seconds and the phone tells you the name of the song.

It's called 'audio fingerprinting'.
