Dontcha love going to read the Baldurs Gate message boards after playing through SoA and ToB? Seeing stuff like, "(soandsocharacter) does great with weapon +2" Can you imagine using just a +2 weapon during all of soa/tob? or "suchandsuchcharacter) will have cure serious wounds by the END of the game!" lol! imagine trying to heal a max level korgan with cure serious wounds from the brink of health! that'd take 30 minutes real time with 20-30 rests!

*shudders* I dont even what to think about how weak I was in bg1... (well my char, but u know what I mean, sometimes I consider him *almost* an extention of myself, almost, but not quite...)

Yeah its pretty funny when you remeber when you thought a band of gibberlings were dangerous. Or that those winter wolves would be the end of you.
I remember when I was amazed with a +2 weapon. My ToB guy would refer to it as a knife compared to his ultimate arsenal of weapons. |
lol; one of my fav bg1 weaps was that longsword +2, the one u get off greywolf?? that was great. looked pretty cool too.

I remember when I didn't know how to level up, wolfweres were the most powerful creatures, and a band of xvarts could kick my @$$. Oh well. I bet my character from SoA could teach those wolfweres in Balduran's Ship that they're messing with the wrong 19th level Kensai.

Don't forget the +3 weapons in BG1
I always did the area south of High Hedge early in the game - you got a short sword +2 AND a warhammer +2 They were so nice to have |
1 time when I first started, Goblins were amazingly dangerous :D

Hey, don't forget the kobalds!
DAMN THOSE KOBALDS AND THIER FIRE ARROWS!!!!!!!! They were deadly to your party in mass numbers. Of course now you say... Kobalds. Wow. I'm scarred. **fifty kobalds growl at you** **You cast dragon's breath (Tob)** BBQ anyone?? :D ;) ;) :D |
For fun's sake I waited with the goons at waukeens promenade, the mencar pebblecrusher gang, till chapter six. I cast all defensive spells and such and attacked them. Then I got myself a nice sandwhich and some coffee and when I came back, enemy-body-galore!! But when you start out at waukeens in chapter 2, these guys seem worse then irenicus himself!!
