How can we tell that each other exist? I can tell I exist because of those immortal words, "I think therefore I am" but this doesn't prove whether or not anyone else exists. For all I know you could all be figments of my imagination but I can't prove or disprove this so I need to believe, not know.

Any opinions?

If anothere entiety surprises you, you could not have thought them up, therefore, they exist, also.

no
you dont exist
i dont exist
we are all holodeck illusions stuck in a little cube in captain picards ready room

could also go with the argument that we are all figments of the imagination of god (there was a philosopher in the past who argued this!) and u cant disprove it either.

LOL, that was Berkeley. Samuel Johnson thought that he refuted Berekely when, after listening to him expound his philosophy, kicked a large stone. :D
