I wonder about things like that all the time, Arvon. The one that gets me over and over is 'why is abbreviation such a long word?' :(

Actually, when I went to Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, one of my chemistry profs (Egon Miteivik - spelling is likely wrong) was an expert in colloids, and he invented the stuff that sticks Teflon to pans. Go to the CLarkson website and check it out. Oh, he also invented 1-2-3 Jello. :D
