Currently I'm soloing with a sorcerer, and I haven't encountered any problems that couldn't be solved!!( I'm still in Athkatla) I marvel at how fast you can lvevel up! The first time i played SoA (with NPC's) I dind't know about Kangaxx, and after I barely defeated him with some cleric spells. The problem is, a solo sorc will definitely have some problems there =(
I also have many questions about soloing with other character classes, can u give me some links to good sites? Tks.

Skeleton Warriors to deal with the Lich form. Summon one to take the Death Spell( or even better, use a Sword Spider), then one to replace it when it dies.

When he becomes a Demi-Lich, cast Spell Immunity:Abjuration to gain immunity to Imprisonment. Cast Time Stop and hurl Melf's Minute Meteors, all will hit since you are in a Time Stop.

i remember i had a hard time with kangaxx with my solo sorceror. i dunno what did i use for the lich form, but for the demilich i used inmunity to abjuration, a potion of haste and tensers transformation and just hacked with staff of the rynn. Anyway it wasnt easy, i had to cast those spells twice, and his regeneration really s*cks

That is why I prefer using Melf's Minute Meteors and Time Stop. 5 attacks per round, all auto-hits due to the Time Stop.

Dual Rings of the Ram is very handy too, if a tad cheesy. *zap* *zap*

Oh... if you have ToB installed... cast either one of the following spells,

1) Dragon's Breath
2) Comet

It is a one-hit kill for Demi-Liches.

I soloed a sorceror once and its a great class to solo until you get to the underdark at which point nearly every darn enemy is magic resistant lol I had some trouble there.

My advice is invest some spell points in summoning spells before you go down there(hasted fire elementals work wonders in the underdark).

The trick with sorcerers is really what spells you choose. Choose the wrong ones and poofy your adventuring carrer will need soem dashes of Viconia, Korgon, and a small wisp of Edwin

My advice, forget about the Fire Elementals. They are not reliable.

Skeleton Warriors and Mordenkainen Swords will cause them a lot of grief, a lot of grief. Especially after they run out of Death Spells. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]

A Sorcerer with a hacked robe can own Barbarians too. ;)

100% Physical/Elemental Resistance! Oh no! What are you going to do?! A Sorcerer can lower or ignore your Magic Resistance, can you lower a Sorcerer's physical/elemental resistance? ;)

I really think Sorcerers are the best in baldur's gate 2!! Actually I don't even know if I ever had anything else but a wizard of sorts in the whole baldur's gate series! After I finish with my sorcerer, I will have to think of some good tank or a thief...
