You know what scares me?
A) I know a woman who's had children and passed a kidney stone (though not at the same time!) She said, given the choice, she'd rather have another child.

B) My brother-in-law recently passed a stone. According to his urologist, kidney stones are more painful in men than women.

Best defense? Drink lots 'o water...

What is a kidney stone?

I believe its some sort of an obsctruction in your kidney. I know one of the ways you can get them is by eating too much junk food and too many sodas and such.

Basically they are large balls of calcified sodium that can build up in your kidneys/urethra if you eat too much salt and don't drink enough water. Pissing them out (ie: 'passing stones') is pure agony apparently.
