Vale Barry Sheene

I've just heard on the news the sad passing away of my boyhood hero Barry Sheene from cancer.

Barry was twice world champion at motorcycle GP's. His bravery in coming back several times from the most unbelievable injuries and his mid 1970 battles with Kenny Roberts will always be remembered

Yeah, I heard it on the radio this morning! I don't know him that much (don't watch sports) But I heard he made herioc returns from illnesses and injuries. And only 52 years of age! My sympathies. I don't like it when people die young, with all their life ahead of them. (Well, 52 is definitely not old!) Very sad news indeed. :(

Being only a relatively young lad, I only ever knew Barry in his commentary days, but he was the voice motor cycle racing for me and many others I know.
a sad day. :(
