Found this on a political board that I frequent. If actually said, Kucinich sounds like a total nutter.

Spirit and Stardust speech
Quote:

Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self. The energy of the stars becomes us. We become the energy of the stars. Stardust and spirit unite and we begin: One with the universe. Whole and holy. From one source, endless creative energy, bursting forth, kinetic, elemental. We, the earth, air, water and fire-source of nearly fifteen billion years of cosmic
spiraling.

We receive the blessings of the Eternal from water, which nourishes and sanctifies life. We receive the blessings of the Eternal from the primal fire, the pulsating heart of creation. We experience the wonder of life multidimensional and transcendent.

We become conscious of the cosmos within us. We hear the music of peace, we hear the music of cooperation, we hear music of love....

When you feel this principle at work, when you see spiritual principles form the basis of active citizenship, you are reminded once again of the merging of stardust and spirit. There is creativity. There is magic. There is alchemy.
Jerry "Governor Moonbeam" Brown would be proud

Shamanism is full of crazy people that actually believe the world could be a nice peaceful place to live one day. It must be realized the beliefs mentioned above may not be "mainstream", but are rooted in many religions and spiritual practice dating back to pre-history.

The invokation of the elements, a concept of oneness with divinity, the practice of creativity to proliferate spirituality, the idea of natural magic, and a metaphoric oral tradition are all elements of shamanic spiritual practice.

From what I recall, Jerry Brown was a drugged out liberal politician. If he is a shaman I am unaware.
Regardless I would be careful of disrespecting peoples religious or spiritual beliefs, that can only turn out bad!

Cheers

HolyWarrior - my family are all practicing pagans. While I may not agree with their beliefs, I don't appreciate them being called nutters. Please think before denigrating someone's religion. If I'd said that about Christianity (which I wouldn't, although I don't agree with those beliefs either) I'd have been jumped on by half of IW by now.

This Kucinich guy is a bit of a flake. If he's the congressman who wants to start a department of peace that is.
