Ok, I'm so excited, I had to post this... but don't mind me...I'm floating on air....sigh... :D Many of you know that Nachtrafe and I got engaged last year, but he wasn't working and he didn't have a ring for me at the time. We had talked about it and he told me he wanted 'to do it all up official and traditional" at some point.

I took him to a movie and lunch today for his birthday and we had a really nice time, just relaxing together, talking and enjoying one another's company. Lunch was over and we were waiting for the bill when he said "I know I told you I'd do this, so let's make it official...", got down on one knee in front of me and proposed all over again...while handing me a jewelers box with a marquis cut diamond solitaire in it. [img]graemlins/lovestory2.gif[/img] *sigh*

I was so totally taken by surprise! I started laughing, crying and managed a small "yes, of course" somewhere in between the laughs, tears and hugging and kissing.... then the waitress came back and thought something was wrong because I was crying ....LOL

I couldn't explain coherently, so my sweetheart held my hand up and said "she's a little emotional, I just proposed" at which point the waitress's eyes widened, she looked at the ring and then said "OH! Wow, I'll leave you two alone" and did!

Well, now that he's been working steadily and things are improving for us financially (since his move here last July 4th, from across the country), he's been talking about rings and what would I like etc. and hinting about doing something romantic in July when we go away for a weekend. So I naturally thought he planned to give it to me in July! But he has been having co-workers run him to the jewelers on their lunch breaks for a while now, so he could spring this surprise on me today! :D

My friends told him I was hard to surprise....but he did it! Boy is he pleased with himself, too! LOL
