<font color="gold">This may sound stupid, but does anyone know of a good website showing statistics (mostly for population) in Europe?
I have this darn task at school, where I have to make a list of Europe's 10 greatest countries (after population), along with the number of how many people live in it (of course, only roughly).
Anyone?</font>

Off the top of my head:

1) Russia: 143 Mio
2) Germany: 82 Mio.
3) United Kingdom: 59 Mio
4) France: 59 Mio
5) Italy: 58 Mio
6) Ukraine: 50 Mio
7) Spain: 40 Mio
8) Poland: 39 Mio
9) Romania: 23 Mio
10) The Nrtherlands: 16 Mio

Note: I left out Turkey at about 67 Mio.

To double-check and for further research, try doing a google search for "Eurostat", which is the statistics' office of the European Union.
