Has anyone notice MTV's newest ad campaign slogan? "Quit asking where all the videos have gone"

No, I wont! I will keep asking until they actually play the entire video during TRL, I will keep asking til they bring back Yo MTV Raps and 120 minutes and get rid of all the shallow so-called "reality shows"
I'm barely satisfied with the return of Headbangers Ball.

MTV has a giant set of nads to demand the we quit asking where all the videos have gone. If it werent for my generation's love of the music videos, MTV wouldn't exist to suck today!

I won't stop asking that until I see more music videos than dross, trashy reality shows, or until my cable provider gets MTV2, which has videos on all day from what I have heard. :D

Back in the late 80's/early 90's ( I know I'm getting old when I start sentences like that ) MTV playyed lots of videos of all different sorts all day and had specialty video shows for the different music Genres. Today it is practically a totally different network.

120 minutes was the best show for new indie music, particularly European acts for us Americans. I miss 120 minutes! Nothing like it that I know of...

Here's a novel idea, why doesn't MTV (MUSIC Television) play MUSIC?!?!?

To paraphrase the first video ever played on MTV
Stupidity killed the video star....

Name the Band/Song/Year ....

yeah, but the music from mtv just didnt cut it. at least whith some funny shows filling some time they wont get cancelled. give us a chance to protest about lack of videos :D

I saw a whole special on how MTV developed its programming. It thinks its very bright in not playing videos. I disagree. 120 Minutes was frikkin awesome. Watching TRL is like hitting myself in the head with a hammer -- it feels good when I stop. I do so wish they had videos back.

You just can't find videos anymore. Remember how you used to be able to watch video countdowns on Friday/Saturday nights on the regular networks?? WTF happened to those? Where can one find music videos? VH1? Please. That's the network all about what ex-losers are doing now (AS IF we care).

Okay, over.

Yea - they think they are truely brilliant! Get rid of the original idea that made them successful. HP did the same thing to their test and measurement equipment - now they are on a slow death path.

MTV - where the vidoes aren't ....

Thanks TL! You have helped me find closure in my own ranting. :D

I do find videos on MTV... The same 10 videos every night between 3-5 a.m. The same ten videos!!!! I swear!!!

Good thing music video on DVD is a growing category. My local store has a huge selection so I can just buy the shi-te I like myself. Screw you MTV!
