I can't kill the fire giant guardian in Watchers Keep. My game has a bug preventing me from thrashing him. Ctrl-y doesn't even work!! I have the official patch installed, but it hasn't fixed the problem. Any suggestions?

I don't think that's a bug. You have to read the notes that you get from all of the labs. They will tell you how to kill all of the creatures in the labs. To kill the fire giant you need to lure 3 fire elementals into the cold lab and they kill die, after that all you got to do is to kill the giant (he's easy).

Have you read the notes dotted about the place they tell you how to kill it, if you cant be bothered then heres how to do it

Notice that the big fire pot thing in the middle of the room keeps spawning fire elementals these are the source of the giants invincibility, you have to take these out before you can hurt the giant but every time you kill one it gets sent to the fire pot again and respawns to kill them permanently you have to lure them to the ice room, once there they will freeze and die, there are 4 fire elementals to do this for just keep doing them one at a time once they are all dead the giant will become vunerable to your damage

Thats because he is invulnerable.
Ctrl-Y just does a lot of dammage to a target. Its worthless if he is invulnerable.

Have you frozen all the fire elementals?
If not, then do it!

He just said that he HAS done it, so im guessing IT IS a bug in his game
