I love comic books, always have and I probably always will! :D

I was wondering if there were other IW members who enjoyed them too and if they were willing to discuss them, whatever their preferred genre.

Personally I like:

Transformers (Big fan, got the entire US and UK line now and some of the new Dreamwave stuff).
Judge Dredd (2000 AD in general)
Nemesis
Rogue Trooper
Green Lantern
and Batman

...and the "Dandy"
and "Whizzer", "pop", "pip", "plop" and all those other glorified excuses for toilet paper. I swear as a child I NEVER laughed once whilst reading those comics.

There was this one page dedicated to jokes...you know the types so bad they make you laugh? Anway they went like this:

"What did the Spanish farmer say to his chicken?.......Oh lay!"
"What's the name of the spanish man who's car was stolen?...Carlos!"
"Whats the name of the Spanish man who just came out of hospital?....Manuel!"

I used to be a big "Lobo" fan. I have some good oldies of his, including his first ever appearance in "Omega Men". He was in "Legion" after that, then solo. Good stuff.
Simon Bisley did a lot of art work of him, including posters, that I have.

I thought the pencilling looked familiar, I've heard and read some of "Omega men" but I've never heard of Lobo, who is he?

No one has mentioned Spiderman or Spawn? They're a great comic series, (I have the first issue of Spawn too :D ) even though there's about 7 different stories of Spiderman that were branched off.

They're the only two comics worth being out there, crazy people

I like to read X Men comic. Especially Wolwerine. I also read other one similar to X Men. Was it X Factor? The one Cable was in it.

I used to collect Spiderman as a kid... had lots, but most of them are lost now, just found about 20 in my parents basement a few years ago, they were from around 1987-1989 and the backstory was The X-Men: Secret War. Great stuff...

In recent years I have only read one comic books series from start to finish and thats Preacher by Garth Ennis, it's so insanely fun to read I just had to read it through...

Over the years i have had tons of comics, had to sell a lot of them off to finance a move across the country... and back. Long story, anyway I kept my favoriets not really for the cash value, but for the stories, characters, and their general value to me.

Some X-men ( Age of Apocolypse )
Entire Dazzler Series
Kabuki
Deadpool ( A must have )

I use to have a few Spawns, mainly #1's ( I bought a bunch when it came out, it looked to be big ) but I donated them. I gave a McFarlen signed Spawn #1 to the owner of my favorite comic book store in thanks for setting aside some special issues of various books for me over the years.
