Just wanted to share with the GD crowd my photography thread.
Please let me know what you think. :D http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...;f=30;t=000113 |
First one - a bit busy for me, but artful.
Second - a good pic, but I'm biased in favour of the view I had on the camping trip I took earlier this summer. My problem, not yours. ;) Black and white - good, but I would prefer the foreground to be a little more "fore." Conventional I know, but I thought the vegetation took over a bit too much. OTOH, it does make for a distinctive pic. The leaves - very nice. I'm a sucker for closeups. Sunset - it has all been said. The last one (single tree against the sky) - my favourite. Essentially a four-coloured photo. Striking and simple without being stark or simplistic. Edit: like the new sig, btw. But nothing can make up for the chuckle I got every time from your former one. Thanks for the comments. I saved the urls for that other sig. I will put it up every now and then. :D

Ooooo, never noticed the blue-board, before! Nice! Those were some pretty sweet pics, LordK! I think I liked the black and white the best, though. Keep up the good work!

Nice work! I love B/W and nature photography. I look forward to seeing more.
BTW I am curious -Have you studies or taken any classes or are you a natural? |
Well, no, I have not taken studies per say, but my dad was a photographer in the Air force back in the 70's. He did it as a hobby when I was young, and I guess that rubbed off on me. I think maybe I have an "eye" for the beauty that nature is. I love trees the most, ones that are "shedding", to be specific. All trees are beautiful, but when the leaves come off, what is left is utterly beautiful to me.
You get to see the paths the limbs have taken and, what I call, the maze of life. Corny I know, but I think its awesome. I don't know if you would call me a "natural", but I am not really learned either. If it makes people happy, then I am happy :D EDIT: Spelling...
