hi I just finnisd of BG1 so iam new to this game..
so I took naliasQuest and i clerd out the most of the stronghold and iam in the basement to save her dad.... and I trickt away the umberhulks whit the dogstew....
but now the trolls in there just kepp on killing me.. is there any thing Special I can do or am i just a to low level???

Here's a tip= it's possible to fight them one on one. To do this have a thief made invisible/hid in shadows and approach Torgal the troll. He will smell you and attack your invisible character so then run away to the rest of your characters. This means you can fight him on his own. Once he's dead go and kill the other two trolls who don't follow because they couldn't see your invisible character unlike torgal.

I would sugest using a draw and kill technique. Set your party in the next room ready to attack and make certain one of them has fire or acid for the finishing touch on the trolls. Have one of your fighters go in to the room just far enough to get the aattention of one of the beasties. When it follows, lead it to the party and scrag it. Repeat until done.
If you are really beat up after the encounter, there are some empty cells that they were guarding. One of them has been excavated. You can go into the cave and rest up.

Calissmus, I guess you didn't know this, but you can close both doors to the cells hallway that they charged into. Monsters can't open doors you'll be safe.
oh yeah my personal favorite tactic for dealing with thos umber hulks; cloudkill them in their large room with an inv. mage. you should get the spell off before they can react. then deposit the dog stew and still get the exp.
