Does anyone know anything about greek mythology? In particular the fates. I was under the impression that they had one eye between them, but I've looked on the interwebnet (it's a huge global network of computers apparently) and I can't find any reference to this. So is that just from the disney hercules film? Any help would be much appreciated.

I thought it was the Graiai who shared a tooth and an eye, not the Moirai/Fates. Don't know the Disney movie, I refuse to see a politically correct cartoon corruption of such a great saga. ;)

Edit: Johnny and Timber posted while I was writing... don't know the Stygian Witches you're referring to Timber, could it be my Graiai under a different name?

Maybe .... or it could just be that this is another in the long list of things Clash of the Titans got wrong. I went checking and couldn't find an answer one way or the other.

Well, I do know that the Graiai are the ones sharing the tooth and eye - I remember reading about them. I think it was Perseus, or one of the great Greek heroes anyway, who was on a quest and needed the Graiai to help him, so he stole their tooth and eye and wouldn't give them back until they gave him his answer. Well, sounds like the same myth, then. Perseus sought their help to defeat the Kraken, a Titan.

I hadn't heard of the whole sharing eye thing until I saw the Disney Hercules movie, which was a GROSS misrepresentation of Greek mythology, don't even get me started on the whole Hera-Hercules thing.

You don't want to know how much Disney perverts facts. The Lion King was full of biological incorrect animals. Rafiki (the 'baboon') and Timon were a mixture of different animals.
