For the longest time I have been trying to use other games by Bioware to create new portraits and soundsets. Some of you, but more who visit the BGI forum, may have seen a few custom portraits I made in the past. Well just recently I have found a way to make Neverwinter Nights soundsets into standard wav files, and reduce the quality so it doesn't sound too clear and loud compared to the other soundsets. I also managed to filtch some portraits from the game and make new custom portraits. Of course this probably isn't really wowwie stuff for many of you but I thought this was a victory worth sharing.
(waves a pathetically small white flag) Hooray for me.... |

Hmmm. Apparently Lucifer isn't too enthusiastic, and to tell you the truth, I'm not all that excited, either--but I might be if I saw/heard some examples of what you've been up to lately. (Me, I'm revamping my Baldur's Gate Guide to have a lot more fun graphics in it, so it's not just page after page of boring text. It's a much more refreshing read now--or at least it will be when I upload it all.)
Is it really that difficult to extract the IWD pics? I've seen the large versions on a couple of sites (GameBanshee and PlanetBaldursGate, I think), couldn't you just grab those images, crop and convert to bitmaps? |
sorry just a jest ;)
