personally i'm quite upset about the anitmagnet movement.
it's not to show troops 1000's of miles away your support, it's to show support to the troops and their families right HERE in our own backyard. my husband, is a vet, may be called up anytime to be sent and if on a really bad day i'm at the grocery store parking lot crying because i ahve to wrestle three kids into my car by myself because my husband is in iraq i'd like to know who supports my husband, and who realizes that troops are more than a number.
and altho i don't like my brother very much he is on stand-by, ready to go any minute. i'm sure my mother finds it comforting to know who else out there has children stationed far away (he is in guam right now, so not a war zone but he can't even come home to visit.)
supporting breast cancer research, i'm sure that the money from the sale of those silly magnets, at least some of it, goes toc ancer research. so instead of donating anonymously and going about their way they place a magnet on their car. good for them, i'm sure breast cancer survivors are HAPPY to see who else out there wants to stop what they have fought. and those who have it feel comforted knowing others are helping to get rid of what may claim their life. and for those of us who are at risk for breast cancer, we want those donations and really don't care one whit who wants to show off that they donated. money is money and will go to the research whether they got a magnet or not.
all done now. my opinion has been stated.
