Okay I have a question why does Edwin talk to himself and I looked at the previous posts and said something bout Edwina if it will explain in SOA or TOB don't tell me why if it doesn't tell me!

When does Edwin talk to himself? I think he does that when he's translating the Nether Scroll.

When you simply work for him he still mutters something under his nose. Later on he continues doing so in nearly all of his speeches even before we found that Nether scroll.

Spoiler question - will he ever translate it? Will it help me? I completed the game and there was no sign of him showing up with the translation even before the very end.

IIRC if you tell him upon obtaining the Nether scroll that it is his, then he will translate it (if you say that it belongs to the party then nothing happens). It won't help you, unless you consider a good laugh to be helpful [img]smile.gif[/img]

SPOILER QUESTION #2:

So what will I laugh about??? I do not intend to go and find that scroll once more just to find out what is this all about... By the way, I recall saying him "get it, but help us" or smth. like that. And nothing!!

It causes Edwin to undergo a sex change, hence Edwina. She becomes even more psycho than Edwin ever was (permanent PMS [img]smile.gif[/img] ). Although I can't reproduce it, her conversation with the horny elf in the Copper Coronet (y'know, the one who propositions all the female characters) is great! She does eventually gets changed back.

[img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Great!! the thing most sought after by him finally plays a good joke on the @#$%!! I didnt like the way HE addressed Aerie and Boo when my reputation reached 18 :)

it also gives him additional spells and higher lore (possibly magic resistance too, not sure)

it doesn't give him any extra spells, but it does give him a good 25-30 point boost to lore. His amulet gives him 2 extra spells/level and he's a specialist mage, so i think he has enough spells to begin with! He doesn't really need any more!
