What class is better for soloing?? I tried mage, found it quite satisfactory (thanks Dundee!) but there may be some features and abilities (whatsoever) of sorcerer that i may miss. So what is the difference in gameplay and which class is better for solo??

Well, i would say a sorcerer. Not really any reason just that he doesn't have to go through the memorization crap and all an I think that the sorcerer gets more spells available. Not spells but I mean more amounts of spellcasting. But anyways, there is not really any big difference. same spells and other things just like mage. but i would try out the sorcerer for the hell of it. anyways, magick isn't my strong point. I much rather like the ranger or something to that degree... or cavallier. -T-

And what are the gameplay differences? I didnt play a sorcerer and I want to know, is the class worth beginning playing at all?? What will be the major impacts on the gameplay and power I get at the higher levels (20+)??

Sorry, i misunderstood...nah, its not worth playing the game again if u already soloed with a mage. No big effects. If you dont have the expansion i think you can only go up to the same level as mage. Hey dude. just check out you manual...it says everything in there.

I just recently began soloing with a mage so it is not an issue to re-start again (just done the circus tent). And all I hear about not scribing the scrolls makes me wonder - how then do they get their spells???

You get to pick some each time you level.

Be careful, when you pick. You might miss out a crucial spell.

Interesting, although no need to worry - the Shadow Keeper keeps me from doing mistakes

Consider mastering the Generalist Mage as a stepping stone to using the Sorcerer.

I think the Sorc is better for soloing, assuming you pick the right spells. Most mages, although they have tons of spells available, rarely memorize more than a few different spells per level (Unless of course they know they're going somewhere where they would need a spell that would protect them from fire or something specific like that) and so the Sorc just skips the choice and allows the freedom of being able to play it by ear. I myself find myself assigning only two or three spells per level to my spellcasters.. Flame Arrows, Stoneskins, Magic Missiles, Dispel Magic, and all that. But that's been said tons of times, so I guess I'll shut up now, hm?
