In observance of the Day of Silence, I will not be posting today.

Well I have to work so it is out for me. ;) And is typing talking. Last time I tried to type I did not talk. ;)

While I'm all for the cause, I'm not ereally sure a day of silence is the right way to go for a group of people who needs to be heard...

but thats just me.

Damn. Wish I saw this earlier. I can't take back the 50,000 plus words I've spoken today to support me and my bretheren. (Oh, and the lesbians too, I suppose *scoff* Lol j/k)

As for the silence, cool idea. I'll try it for a while.

johnny- i don't think being just MIA from the boards would get the point across as to why illumina is being silent. true it's kinda hard be silent when you tell everyone why, but it's just like the child telling her father "i'm not talking ot you!" now father needs to know why and how to fix it.

My goodness, I'm glad that's over.

Johnny- Making a post like that is equivalent to wearing the shirt and handing out cards to people... And there's a difference between not posting for a day because I didn't have time and not posting for a day because of the Day of Silence.

Jorath- The Day of Silence is as much for the GLBT community and its allies as it is for the straight community. It's powerful to walk across campus and see how many otherwise lively people are silent and subdued for a day... and it lets the community see how many members it has.

Hmmmm not sure if 'silence' is the best protest and the catchiness (sp) of its title does little to impress. However 'goes into Tom Joad mode' "Wherever there's a cop beatin' up a guy, I'll be there" :D
