God.. not again. last year, Florida got hit 4 times, and 3 of those times the hurricanes came right over our area and caused billions in damage (nearly every store sign in the city was gone) we nearly lost 2 trees (our large tree has one side full of gaps because huge limbs were ripped off.
We usually get Hurricanes in Sept, but geez, JUNE?! come on.. someone using a freaking magnet here in florida on these beasts?!?! Anyway, just a warning. If it comes to Florida, Ironworks will be down if we have storms. (even if it stays a Tropical Storm). Check the radar out!! (our house is just south of the e in "Lakeland" on the Radar: http://weathercenter.com/radar/animatedradar.htm I just hope it weakens. That last of the 3 we had last year actually got me scared during it, and it takes a LOT to scare me. It was crazy. Heres a link to just a SMALL area I took pics of around our area last year when the 3rd Hurricane hit us--the day after: http://www.ironworksforum.com/hosted...nejeanne3.html [ 06-10-2005, 10:38 AM: Message edited by: Ziroc ] |
All the predictions I've read show it staying safely in the Gulf and missing you. I'd say if it doesn't shift your way by tonight you'll be fine. A little wet, but fine.

Jeez man, you need to turn off that hurricane magnet you got out in the garage, it seems like you get hit constantly.

First the lightning and now this. Have you angered Choc or something?

::sending thoughts to keep the worst of the upcoming storm far afield of Lakeland:: Being on the northern part of the east coast ::waves from Portland, Maine:: I've seen hurricanes before and they are not fun. I cannot begin to imagine having to deal with those that Florida faced last year.
Be well, stay dry, watch for falling objects! Tilia |
Hoping for the best, Z! Keep safe and don't get zapped! :D

Not a good week then!
Good luck, hope it missed you. |
I heard on my news that it was going to stay away from florida. Hope it does just that!

One word... BEPREPARED

Yeah it formed over here; was really freaky! It was like rain and ligthening storms out of nowhere. Everything is not a bright shade of green in the desert... Good luck with it!
It appears to be headed for Mississippi. |
