I initially thought the silverish disk at my feet was annoying, but that disk is nothing compared to the annoyance produced by that stupid silver ball that surrounds me when I put the cloak of mirroring on.

Does any one know how to turn off that particular effect?

Alson already replied to that when I asked him this question earlier and I quote

Cheeser!
Just delete the CLCK26.ITM file from your overide directory....
That'll do it

This is what you need.
Read the README file - you need Component 13.

Oh...And:

I liked the silvery effect - I'm hoping that just deleting that file from override will put it back.

Deleting CLCK26.ITM will also restore the SoA Cloak's ability (turning spells).
I'm not sure SilverBear wants it.

I want the cloak to work....I just wnat to be able to see my character as well.

If you delete the file, the cloak will function exactly as in SoA. The way it was orignaly intended. The way that renders beholders about as frightning as a two year old.

If you install the fixpack, the cloak will function as in ToB (absorbs beholder rays instead of reflecting) with the same look as in SoA.
