Coming Tuesday I will be leaving for Boston, as promised a month or so ago. I'll be flying to Iceland first (Reykjavik to be exact), and then on to Boston. There I'll be spending a few days sightseeing and training before we will participate in the Head of the River Charles Regatta Sunday October 23rd (come and watch!!).

Sadly, I do not know my schedule as of yet, but undoubtedly we'll be quite full with things to see and do (Boston Duck Tours, Freedom Trial, Whalewatching). I can probably get an evening or night off, but only if I know which night! As you can understand, both the men's and women's crew, with whom I will be travelling, will party flat-out after Sunday's regatta, so maybe it's a good idea to grab a few drinks then.

Let me know what you will be doing, Memnoch, Chewbacca and others!! I know Arledrian was thinking about grabbing the car and driving over, so just let me know via email or PM and we'll sort things out. I'm hoping we can plan an IW gettogether with me for once.

P.S. Jorath, I know you're in (n)Iceland, so maybe we could meet at the airport? I have some time between both flights (possibly two hours or more), and I don't what we'll be doing. Just let me know!

But that wouldn't bring out the Bostonians' true friendly nature.

Try the tea. I hear tell it's raveworthy.

The Freedom Trail is great because you can just hop on it and do a walking tour with your free time. If you really want to see all there is to see on the FT, then I suggest the Old Town Trolley Tour. I love the FT stuff in Boston, it brings a wistful tear to my eye more than any other city. You really get a sense of the revolutionary spirit.

Tell them those of us who can hear and vaguely see White Sox games from our rooftop decks send our regards.

Eh, I'm guessing you'll be landing in Keflavik, which is the international airport. Either way I'm sorry to say I can't meet on that day... :(

Hey! I'm busy as a bee most that week, but the 23rd maybe open for me to check out the Regatta and festivities. I'll get back!

Chewie, could you by chance contact Memnoch via other means than PM? Same goes for machinehead, Bungleau (if he's available again) and Arledrian.

Bungleau 10-13-2005 10:04 AM

Bummer! I'm out in Hartford (which is about 90 minutes away) next week, but that's just a quick trip. I've got Detroit-based trips the week you're here :(

So raise a mug in me honor, boyos, and don't let the beer get away without a fight!

Good luck in the Regatta, Link! Pull 'em straight and strong!
