Just about every culture indulges in the drink. And almost as many partake in the bastardisation of the English language (especially the Poms :D ) giving rise to a great many words (and quite a few non-words) used to describe the various stages of intoxication. Tanked, plastered, mashed or crunked. How's it said in your neck of the woods?

*Edit: Disclaimer - IW does not condone the consumption of alcohol by minors. :D

Sever, forgive me for my imminent adventure into off-topic foppery, but I feel an irrepressible bardic urge coming on...

*cough cough*.

This is a sonnet I dedicated to one of my first intoxicated experiences, which consisted of a mere ten stubbies of Guiness at the wee age of 20 during uni.

To Inebriation (A Hymn of Experience)

Long life hath I abstained, awash alone with lonely loitering moon.
Conservative eyes gleam over a solution enigmatic, how I do swoon!
The Fountain of Happiness forever elusive, is but transient joy.
Black are the dreadful doubts, and to experience I do employ.
Gold emblazoned cloud and liquid glitter and echo curiousity in my mind,
Silence immersed in a mountain of Bacchus thought, unrefined!
One tiny draught beckons successive consumption, Oh frothly thick amber and stoutly toxic tar!
Descending into submissive depths of insobriety, actions too bizarre,
A contrariness from mundane normality, contrite neon dome-light glowing ever so!
Adjourn all Sophistry, Adieu now amorphous wavering convictions shallow!
Inundated upon this epiphany, an isolated moment of whimsical haze.
The Demon incarnate instils a sinister assurance, oh so glazed.
In golden fields of meadow wheat and parley rye,
I lie so ever mesmerised.
I gaze indolently on sweet lulling Inebriate, and am goaded to drowse and enterprise.

Cheers to everyone.

Crunked? *scratches chin and wanders off stage to the boos and hisses searching for the next barrel of ale*.

Smashed, blasted, rip-roaring drunk, snockered, three sheets to the wind, plastered, tipsy....

Wasted, Sh*t-faced, lit, liquored up, and of course the most popular, just plain F'd up. :D

Drunk, F'ed up, or "had to many to drink", wasted... A dude came to a football game drunk a few weeks ago and puked all over the place.
