Hi, all! I'm a newbie who is back to the world of computer RPGs after a 8 year break.
Anyway, what has to be done to complete the Trademeet-Animal Trouble quest? I went to the druid grove and found nothing except a bunch of Shadow Druids, who all tried to kill me on sight. I got no clues there about where to go or what to do next. I am pretty sure none of them were named "Faldorn". Did I miss something? Where is Faldorn? What should I do next? I then temporarily gave up and went back to Trademeet. I ran into the woman near the north entrance of the town who told me to go a hut northeast of the druid grove to find the rakshasa. Uh, like, how do you get there? Nothing new has been added to my world map, and I was just at the druid grove area and never saw a hut, only a "Troll Mound". I feel like I am missing something obvious with these quests. Can anyone help? |
it's okay, i didn't notice this either-there should be a stone brifge-it looks like rocks but when you move the curser over it it lets you walk on it. It should lead to a cottage, take the left there and keep on going until you find the shadow druid enclave. You have to have a druid in your party, either yourself, Cernd or Jaheira.

Welcome back
The cottage is all the in the upper left hand corner but the whole screen is like a maze. The game designers did a good job making that screen like a Druid Grove should be. It took me a while to find passage through. I can't really explain without a map. It's there though. Just takes a bit of patience. If you're stuck try pausing and moving the cursor around till you find an opening in the foliage. |

SPOILER * * * * * * * * * * * * * you can let Cernd fight Faldorn. If he isn't in your party he waits near the Grove. Tell him to fight her. |
And if he loses?

Wow, you guys respond fast!
I just found the passage. Thanks, everyone! |
No probs, glad to help

All maps are square (more or less) and if there is a section that you can’t fill in it just means that you haven’t found the path to that area yet. Keep trying. If you can get your cursor over into an area you want to be, try clicking it and letting your party find its own way. There actually pretty good about things like that. Just keep them together and watch where they go; they are really bad about walking into hoards of trolls or vampire nests without pausing first.
When in doubt try reading your journal. It is truly useful in providing information and directions. |
