Wow, a 30" wide screen monitor. Man, one could load multiple OpenOffice applications at once with one of those. Just think of it, no more eye straining whilst attempting to copy/paste from writer into impress, or from math into calc. Sweet!

Nerd Alert!

Well..erhm..different kind of nerd alert!

The rest of us are thinking "Wow, think of the detail we can see on our characters in whatever roleplaying game, and you're plotting how you can better employ your office applications. :D

Just kidding...wouldn't want to tick off a guy whose shopping for an M-4 Carbine-esque paintball gun ;)

Is this stuff proprietary? (In the PC) if so, it may be cool NOW, but if you can't upgrade....

As well as I think Dell makes their stuff, most of it is proprietary...like my damn PS unit :( .

I know someone, somewhere, will be going: "Pshaw, its dell."

Gah, I bought the Dell 24" Wide just before christmas and was loving that I had (what was voted as) the best monitor you could get, and then that Dell 30" came out and I almost cried, I MUST HAVE THE BEST!!!!

Yes I am aware Apple have a 30" monitor, but I ahve heard mixed reviews, plus I have seen the pricetag!
Hehe isn't life harsh sometime HT? I had to settle for the lowly 20" model (which is generally great, but it does have some backlight bleeding issues). To be honest I think the 30" screen is overkill for gaming at least, anything less than a quad GPU setup will struggle immensly to run all the latest games smoothly in the native res (which is an insane 2560x1600!!)...
