Easy questions for once:

I don't have a T.V. so it's obviously not a catastrophe to be without one for me. It's a whole other business for my little sister though.
I think most TV programs nowaday are riding a downward spiral of lameness anyway.

Again a TV exploding would probably happen somewhere else as I don't have one again, while my computer could easily wreck a large pecentage of my tiny appartment.

I would prefer the arctic as I am better resisting extremely low temperatures than extremely high ones. My eyes hate bright sunlight, but that is a problem both places.

Actually I would chose other games over RPG's. One reason: DooM!
