My archer was capable of wearing drow full plate+5. This was plainly wrong.

Why?

Because Archers can't wear anything above studded leather (except for elven chain).

Ok in this case isn't drow full plate classed as elven mail? Elven mail is a light linked mail, with easy manueverability due to its weight AND its design, even if it is a heavier armor set (such as Drow Plate Mail) it is still elven armor, just in full - at least this is what I assumed when I played the Underdark Chapter and thought no more of it!

I thought that only Stalkers are restricted to wearing Studded Leather and below... Are Archers restricted as well???

Archers are restricted from wearing plate mail, but I think they can use chain and splint mails.

This is a bug. The game item designer has nice little check boxes to say who can use the item and who cannot, and they forgot to unselect one. There is a site with a pile of bug fixes, but I can't remember it. I'll post here if I remember it.
