Interesting poll. But I must say, that each forum I'm in (3) has thousands of members but only a few who visit the forum or post regulary.

I think, it's because you're forced to become a member if you want to ask a single question about a game.

Someone's been spending too much time looking through the directory.

Nice statistics, btw.

Does this include all the members at the back of the BG2 archives and such? Because all of them are unregistered. And I can understand why many don't post. I've read 1000's of posts from way back in 2001, but I only started seriously posting in the last year.

I was bored at 2 in the morning, what can I say? :D
How'd you guys like the choices for question 4?

I enjoyed the cookie response, myself.

I don't know. You look at the number of members and it might seem intimidating, but really, you could cut that down to about five hundred (or even less) people who post here regularly (not counting new people, who have a three-month grace period to vanish to never be herad from again, or be added to this number)

Remember January 2001, when we switched from the blue forum (where you didn't need to register, if I recall) to this brown one where you did?

Almost the entire W&W community from that board signed up for accounts in those first few days -- I was one of them -- and promptly disappeared from the face of the earth.

Until a couple weeks ago (I'm on convalescent leave, and stumbled onto the forum again) I had all of 8 posts to my name, and I'm user #21!

I've heard of others from those early days to rediscovered the board in the intervening years, but not many...

1. No
2. No
3. No
4. Indifferent. Cookie?

With 14528 members at IW, it's gotta be hard for a new member to find a good username.
