Alright, me and my friend were arguing on which Heavy Metal band was better. Also i figured id add another couple of questions for the fun of it, hey, its relevent ok?!

I like Iron Maiden better [img]smile.gif[/img] Well there's just a difference between rock and metal. Like it's doom/death/black metal not doom/death/black rock people wouldn't know what you're talking about otherwise..
I like some other genres some close to metal as well and some classics so I voted I can't decide. I know good metal bands and good other bands can't say I like either more. I've just got to like it [img]smile.gif[/img]

I was a huge Metallica fan in elementary school, but when I hit 7th or 8th grade, I just sort of stopped listening to them...

... though I've still got an awful lot of old scratched Metallica CD's :D

I prefer Iron Maiden. I think that metall can be good.

Hmmm, that is a tough one, although I would probably choose Metallica over Maiden as I love a certain Metallica song more than any Maiden. How ever there are many other good/better bands out there.

Metal is definately a different genre as it has sub genre's like Philip mentioned, Doom, Death, black, speed etc.

Well considering metal stemmed from rock, i don't agree with the "calling this rock would be an insult". Rock is great stuff, so is metal, they are different genres, and maybe "heavy rock" classification is reffering to past link, but i believe now it should be called metal.

On that subject, i hate the classification "Nu Metal" i don't know particularly why, i like the music maybe i just don't like the use of "nu".
Anyway that's my opinion.

and the album covers with 'Eddie' are way better than Mettalica's [img]tongue.gif[/img]
