Holy crap. $600 bucks for the best package?! That is crazy.. but it WILL be the best console out, and has HDMI outputs as well as Bluray DVD (50gig)!

That is a LOT of cash for a console though.. It'll take me years to save up for [img]smile.gif[/img] . (Don't plan on getting an XBOX 360--they overheat) maybe in a year or more when prices drop, but if I had to choose, and could get one for free, It would be the PS3 hands down.

35 times more powerful than the PS2. WOW! (God of War was amazing) GOW 2 is coming out Feb 2007. Saw an early trailer for it..

I'm not really into consoles though.. I mainly play the RPGs and enjoy football and such with friends.. (And the Champions of Norrath games)...

NO!!! Especially not from DRM King Sony. I have totally quit supporting them after the rootkit thing. There are some movies I used to want that I won't have too, because they were involved in production. Damned shame too.

I dunno, u can buy a car for that price, but if all goes well my plan for world domination by selling popcorn at the movie theatre will be complete by next year.

Gods no! I wouldn't I can't stand consoles unless there're games, like summoner, that you can't get for the PC I never touch them. But I won't need to get one... My kid brother'll invest, the nut. and I'll use it maybe a couple times a year when something really cool comes out. He plays on a crap portable telly from the 70's he bought in a charity shop...? I wish I hadn't bought my Xbox 360 now..it just sits collecting dust. I don't play consoles anymore.

I'm planning on buying a console in the near future though, i kinda miss having one around in the house. My place used to be console heaven in the past, but at some point i got tired of them and thought a PC was all i was ever going to need, but now i'm having second thoughts. I guess that within a year the price for that console will drop drastically, then will be a good time to purchase one.

I'm not sure. I would pay the price for it, but I just need to figure out whether I would ever actually use it. I was very close to getting a 360, but then thought about it, and realised I would never use it. However Blu Ray is a nice inclusion, and if some decent games came out I'm sure it would be great to waste time on. :D

So who knows.

No well in hell for that price. I'd rather just upgrade my pc.
