OK, so I was an abusee when I was young, and now I find that if I talk to someone and I find myself attracted (not necessarily sexually) to them, they usually have had some sort of abuse as a child, too. 3 out of 5 of my closest freinds were abused, and I would say that I get the "vibe" from 9 out of ten girls that I find sexually attractive. All of my past girlfriends have been abused, also. I was wondering if this was common, for one person who was abused to be able to know if some other person was abused just by talking to them. This doesn't work like if we talked over the phone or were chatting online, unless it's a video chat sometimes, but in person I would say that I I'm like 90% accurate for guys, and 99.999% accurate for girls. The girls are easier because if I am really attracted to them for no apparent reason(i.e. I don't know them at all)that usually means that they were abused. Have there been any studies on this, or articles in mags, or websites or anything?

Not that I've found, but it's more you'll recognise clues, things that you yourself do that you are able to see in other people.

When you've got it worked out and you've dealt with all the crap that comes with being abused apparently you're able to spot the people who've been and worked through their experiences, and those that haven't.

It is possibly to spot in pure text, though it has to be fairly self focused.

I'm sure you are more in tune to the auras of people with similar experiances like yours. It is also very common more so than is reported, I think we run into people all the time who are abused and don't know it. You seem to be more in tune with them than most. It would be interesting to find out what studies are out there.
