This is the scoop. I'm just starting the game. I'm hanging out at the 'Copper' and have found a couple of Jelly's in a room after having had dealt with some goblins and I've found myself to be somewhat challenged by the Jelly's presence. I think that this has something to do with the fact that I can't rest my party or save my game. I need to get them some rest. How do I accomplish this and how do I kill the Jelly's? Dumb question I know. Please help.

You can't rest when hostile critters/characters are near.
You have two options 1) Kill the jellys (not recommended, unless your party is reasonably whole and not fatigued) 2) leave the room and find somewhere else to rest. |
Would this room have a drain in the middle of it? and if so, i think u can get an item out of the drain. Also, if ur have trouble defeating the 'jellys' theres a certain damage type(blunt, slashing, or piercing) that affects them, not sure which though. And i think magic works as well.If u do try and kill them keep ur clerics back to cast neutralize poison.

But I've gone all the way to a couple of Inn's and still cannot even so much as rent a room for the night.

Are the people saying to u 'can't talk now, ???? appears busy'?

I think it's blunt damage that affects the jellies. And you'll need a +1 weapon or better to hit Mustard Jellies (still using a blunt weapon I believe). I can't remember which type, but one or more also has a moderate magic resistance, so the best idea is to beef up a fighter class and give him a +1(or higher) blunt item and go in and take them out and keep everyone else at ranged distance, pelting them with whatever works.

Load autosave, this solved that problem in my game.
But you need serious patching nonetheless. A magister! Ain't I good? [ 09-18-2002, 02:37 PM: Message edited by: Vedran ] |
Well it isn't that they are saying that they can't talk to me it is more like the game says that I can't rest at that moment or that I can't currently save my game. Do any of you know of any good patches (in particular) that might help?
