Is there a way to make Firefox 2 check for a new version of the webpage everytime I visit it? There is this page that updates quite often, and every time I visit it Firefox shows the page it has stored in cache (an older one). Clearing the cache solves it, but I don't want to have to clear the cache every time I visit this page...

In Internet explorer there was this option to make it check if a new version of the webpage has appeared, but I can't find the same thing in Firefox.

I was looking for the same thing for someone too, but no luck :(

There might be an add on or something?

you might wanna check this page: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.ca..._doc_frequency

don't know if it solves your problem but my value is 3..

just surf to about:config and search for browser.cache.check_doc_frequency and change the value to 3 if it is something else..

Yes. Mine was at 3 too. Changing it to 0 or 1 solves the problem. Thanks!!

Possible values and their effects

0
Check for a new version of a page once per session (a session starts when the first application window opens and ends when the last application window closes).

1
Check for a new version every time a page is loaded.

2
Never check for a new version - always load the page from cache.

3
Check for a new version when the page is out of date. (Default)
