Well everytime I try to rest in the underdark (even in the tavern in the Drow city) the game crashes. And it's not the cd either 'cause I've tried them all.
Thing is though, that I have both the Sola mod and TDD installed, but I was told they were compatible.
I don't have ToB installed and I have all the latest patches including fixpack.
I'm running on win 98 if that's any help, but this has never happened before.

Try starting a new game and see if it crashes when your not in the underdark. If it dosent I dunno, cos theres nothing special about the underdark that should cause this, but if it does you should probably re-install your game.

This might seem drastic, but backup your save game folders then uninstall the game and reinstall the following in order.

1) SoA
2) SoA Official Patch
3) Baldurdash SoA Fixpack

Put back the save game folder and see whether it works nows. If it does, then install TDD and check whether the save game folder works now.

IMPORTANT! Install TDD first!

Finally, install the Sola Mod.

sorry to intrude but i want to ask if theres a better way to keep my comouter from hanging up. im using a pc with about 4 times better than with the game requirements. will patch do the trick? just askin thanks!

A patched game is always better than an unpatched game. Install the patch and see whether it solves your hanging problem.
