the two handed sword require four things to be put into the pipes, i have the four things but how do i actually put it into the pipes? i click on it w/ my character that have the items but it just give off a shock. (baldur gate II)

You have to put them in in a certain order.
Just use guess check: click a pipe; if it shocks you, it`s wrong; if it doesn`t, it`s right
Rest if you need to, repeat for all 4 items.

The order you click in is third from the left, then leftmost, then second from the left, then rightmost.

i understand, but my character does have all four items, how should i do this drop the right item on the group in front of the pipe and click on the pipes again? it doesn't shock me this time, it just gives me words, but after i place all four item in the ground nothing happen, where is the sword?

by the way one more thing, the guy that told me to get 20000 so he'll give me information about Iomen, i couldn't see him when i get back to the slum and go to his house....maybe i have trouble finding his house, but i swear this house looks exactly like the one i left earlier. if it's not this one then which one?

Click on it once to get a message, then click on it again to put it in the pipe in question (don't drop the item).

Gaelan's house is next to the Slaver's HQ. Your map should show you where.

Ok, let's go through this.
You have the Ring, the Staff, the Hnad and the Blood in your invemtory. Now go to the pipes. Go near the third pipe from the left, and press on it when the cursor shows two arrows pointing against eachother. This should open a 'dialogue', and some crazy poem should appear. Now go to the first pipe from the left, and press that one too. Then press the second from the left, and then the third. ;)
Congrats, you now have the Talking Sword in your inventory. May it cause you great fun.

I know how to get Lilacor, but for some reason something's wrong with the pipe! the one to the far left simply doesn't work even if I have all 4 required items. It just gives you the hint [text] and that's it. no fire, no lightining bolt. Shadow keeper came in handy. I used it to take away the items from my inventory and to get Lilacor.
Did this happen to anybody else? I know bugs are common, but it never really happened to me before...

Have you pressed on the third one first?

just be sure that you have put the things in the right order. you dont have to give the items to your npc's, if they have it then you can still tap the pipes. eventually, the items will disappear after you followed the proper order. chokdee!!
