(Spoiler Alert!!)

After emerging from the Underdark & talking to Elhan, I decided to make my way back to the city to finish up all those quests which have yet to be done.

At the Small Teeth Pass Dermin confronted Ja. Later on at that same area after resting Ja was gone. Terminsel came up and passed me a note.

My question: Is there a time limit to going back to the Harper Base and rescue Ja? I was thinking of going off to Trademeet first, but don't want to spoil the romance which I currently have with her.

Shoot! I was hoping to go to Trademeet, pick up Cernd, do all the quests then return for Ja...

Oh well. *shrugs*

<font color="lightblue">You *can* do that, but I don`t recomend it for one reason: Jaheira will be at a lower level than the rest of your party.
You can get the quest in Chapter 2 and leave it till Chapter 6 if you want to, but again Jaheira will be a very low-level character. </font>

Well, I was thinking that since Ja is a druid, and Cernd is a druid, I might just take this opportunity to do Cernd's quests and the associated Trademeet quests. Then once his quests were done, rescue Ja then dump Cernd.
Can't dump Ja otherwise without killing the romance. It also doesn't make any sense having 2 druids in the party.

You don't need to take Cern in your team to do the trademeet quests. Just tell him you don't need his help.

Are you saying that if you are romancing someone and you kick their butt outa yer party the romance is over. OR!!!! I you haven't even romanced someone yet but you kick their butt outta there before the romance starts does that mean you can't ever have a romance? OK - I've decided to go & finish all the Trademeet quests (including Cernd's) first. Once that's done, it's back to the Harper Hold to resuce Ja.
I've got an archive save just before setting off to Trademeet - just in case. ;)

I THINK it's ok to remove someone if the romance hasn't started. But I do KNOW for sure that kickinh out someone when the romance is active means that it's over.
Not sure what happens when the romance is completed & the character is removeed from the party.
