We don't decorate all that much...obviously public buildings and areas in the city will be decorated, and some families will cover their houses with lights - but as a whole it's a lot more laid-back - in a way not dissimilar to the way I remember Christmas being celebrated in LA - didn't snow there, either. Much more low-key than LA, though.

As for celebrating, at this time most of us are off to the beach. With the sun starting to go down at 7:30pm or so, that's plenty of time for us who live near the beach to go and catch a few waves or a bit of sun after work. Christmastime is a celebration of sun, surf and sand here, LB - and no law that says you can't snuggle on the beach in the evenings. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
