If you go in to the game thinking it's going to be like tabletop DnD or like any other MMO you will be disappointed. However the game is action packed very interactive and for me personally a great distraction.
I love the stories they have for the quests and the scripts they have for their enemies.
The quests are fun in themselves being forced to drop down tubes with no way back gives a feeling of really going beyond the point of no return.
There is no real exploring as they wanted to get to the action of the adventures so there is no wondering the country side as all of that kind of travel is just considered to have been done. It's mostly sewer and other dungeon type crawls with a few outdoor quests that present you with fighting giants, armies of goblinoids and the such.
In away it feels like Heretic for control scheme with meele weapons having to actually having a small area where they affect. Bows needing to be reloaded and spells going all over.
To me it gives me the feeling of what my little halfling rogue must have gone through in all this adventures in undermountain which is what I expected. I wasn't expecting to feel like I was just another person running around like I did in WoW and Everquest.
