I rarely use temples .. they take a lot of time. I can stand wasting money, so I always calculate what healing spells to buy in order to get the best deal.
Basically that means buying the cheapest heal-spell (50 gp IIRC) since that one has the best price/hp ratio. Except if the (HP to be regained) / (HP regained per 50 gp Healing spell) > cost of -heal- spell -->( restore entire health)
