So the most used product is instantly less secure? Apache is more used than IIS (by almost as much as IE is more used than anything else), and yet it has had only one major worm in it's lifetime, while IIS in it's shorter lifetime has had many. No, alot of the reason why IE is less secure is because it is integrated so tightly into Windows. This can make an otherwise negligible bug become a critical security flaw, because it can affect the core of your system.
