When we met in r/l, we hotseated some of the first game: Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord, then I bought Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin and am now playing some PBEMs of Combat Mission: Afrika Corps. So naturally, the website I'm talking about is battlefront.com
The designers are now working on the next game and are designing a brand new game engine. Hopefully it will be out next year.
Also have Axis & Allies and Rise of Nations.
