Right up until you've actually given her the Eggs, it's not too late to kill her. I suppose it might be possible to whack her in the very brief period in the Kou-Toa Lair (a severe overdose of Trap cheese comes to mind), but I've never done it.
Why don't you see for yourself if the armor is any good? You don't get Quest EXP by asking
other people to tell you about their armor, you know.
