I promised you guys an explaination for my absence. No car crashes or UFO abductions (or terrorism - hasn't that picked up in 2 yrs?!) are to blame. I wasn't holed up in some old sheep station way out woop-woop, nor was i incarcerated in rehab (though it may have helped). :shrug:
No, the real reason is far less dramatic. IIRC around the time of my last known whereabouts, i was having trouble staying connected to IW due to problems with the server or browser or both. I followed the advice of someone here and entered the url in a txt file somewhere on my pc in order to fix the problem and bang. No more IW. I sort of forgot exactly what i did to frag it up so i wasn't able to reverse it. I've also forgotten who it was that told me to do it (but i'll be watchin..! Hmm, archives. :ponder
Anyway, after a few weeks the withdrawals had subsided and i sort of gave up on the whole forum thing. Played Morrowind to lengths that would be deemed unhealthy and tried to pick up where i left off on other forums but it just wasn't the same. Too many flamin' morons out there.
Eventually my pc got so clagged up with junkware (spyware - another thing that's blown out of proportion in 2 yrs!) that i had to format. Then, out of the blue, i remembered IW and thought i'd give it a try. Voila! That was last night.
Grr, time flies. Work again. 2 b continued...
