Melusine-
I used to do choral stuff - just a village choral society, but it was great fun. We used to put on concerts and there was a big festival once a year where all the local choirs would get together - have loads of competitions during the day then put on a concert in the evening - I sang Soprano, but my voice is a bit deeper now than it used to be. Myself, my dad & my brother were all in the same choir - my dad could do Tenor or Bass and my brother was Bass (from age 14!!!), so we used to practice a lot together doing the different parts - often in the car if we were having a family day out we would drive along singing. My mum also has a lovely voice, very deep, but she does not believe she is good enough to sing in public which is not true! Have done some opera as well.
Still love to sing, but don't have enough time at the moment to pursue all my interests!

Aurican, another thought - you mention film music - well I watched Phantom Menace again last night, and I'd quite forgotten how beautiful and dramatic the music was, and it also has choral parts. Very spine-tingly.
