Now that I've finished up Jaheira's romance, I've come to find that each romance has a "do you know this person?" point, where the game is pretty much testing your knowledge on what you know about the character and can make or break the romance depending on what the PC says.
So, what do you know about Aerie? She whines a lot. She thinks the PC doesn't understand her past trauma or her current situation. Her naivete is only surpassed by her aim to please.
Give her the courage to spread her wings and fly, so to speak.

Don't sleep with Aerie. She doesn't know what she wants, and she only wants to sleep with the PC because she thinks that's what he wants. Prove to her that's not what you're all about and that's not why you care about her, and you'll have a happy romance. Even more so if you install ToB and play the romance through that.
