not make Popcorn; he merely covered/remixed/ruined/raped* it. The original version was written by Gershon Kingsley in 1969, originally titled "The Popcorn Makers", and it entered the top 40 in a version by a band called Hot Butter in 1972. Jarre didn't get his hands on it until 1977, IIRC.
